An automotive client relied on an EDI provider that built heavily customized mappings for each of their trading partners. While these mappings worked in the short term, they quickly became difficult to support, troubleshoot, and maintain as the client’s operations expanded. Each error required specialized knowledge, consuming valuable support hours and creating unnecessary costs.
To address this challenge, we migrated the client to a new EDI provider that offered more standardized mappings aligned with their business processes. This shift allowed for faster issue resolution, reduced mapping errors, and a more consistent EDI environment overall. By simplifying and standardizing their integration framework, the client not only reduced their ongoing support burden but also achieved long-term cost savings and improved scalability.
